Witchford Parish Council is carrying out a Single Issue Review of the Witchford Neighbourhood Plan, to address climate change, as this was not directly considered in the original version of the Neighbourhood Plan. Please note that until and unless the reviewed Neighbourhood Plan is made by East Cambridgeshire District Council the original Neighbourhood Plan made on 21st May 2020 remains in force.
Witchford Neighbourhood Plan was formally made by East Cambridgeshire District Council on 21st May 2020.
Referendum Date 19th March 2020.
The referendum results are as follows:
- Number of votes cast in favour of a ‘yes’ – 572
- Number of votes cast in favour of a ‘no’ – 25
- Number of rejected ballots- 2
The Emerging Witchford Neighbourhood Plan was submitted to East Cambridgeshire District Council on 17th October 2019. The Regulation 16 Consultation takes place between 17th October – 28th November 2019. An Independent Examiner was appointed to examine the Emerging Witchford Neighbourhood Plan.
The Independent Examiner published his report on the Submission Version Witchford Neighbourhood Plan on 7th February 2020.

The Regulation 14 Statutory Consultation took place between 12th June – 25th July 2019. A public drop-in session was held on 19th June 3 – 7pm at St Andrews Hall Witchford. The Parish Council had a stall at the school fete on 30th June to publicise the Consultation.
